Deceased March 15, 2014 per obituary in San Mateo Times provided by Pete Sakelarios. A portion of the obituary reads: "Wendy Beryl Howell, long time San Mateo County resident, passed away on March 15, 2014 at Seton Medical Center, after a two-year battle with cancer. Born Wendy Beryl Smith in Denver, Colorado . . . She graduated from Carlmont High School, Belmont, in 1965. Wendy was a resident of Pacifica for the past 28 years. . . Most recently she had worked as a Security Supervisor for Covenant Aviation Security at SFO. She had retired in 2012, after being diagnosed with kidney cancer . . . "

Wendy was my neighbor, living further up the hill from me on Carmelita, in Belmont. Actually, her home was near the corner of Carmelita and Read. We had fun growing up in Belmont together. I remember her walking down the hill past my house, to Cipriani grade school. Never saw her after Carlmont. Kind of sad....isn't it?
